New Design

It’s been almost a year since I started this site so I figure now is as good a time as any to make some changes. Mainly I wanted to put things in a style more conducive to more easily viewable shorter posts. Still messing with it a bit and I don’t think I’m going to want to take the time to resize or redo every single banner image before this post, but you get the idea. I promise all five of my readers that it will look a little nicer soon!

Now Playing: Halo 5 (2015)

I have heard that there is something of an uproar about Halo 5 due to its symptoms of sequel-itis, wherein a game in a series is not exactly like every previous entry of the series and so it must be a bad game (which is exactly the kind of shit I stopped visiting gaming sites over). Ok. I suppose the game has become a little more “mainstream” in design, if you can imagine such a thing being possible about a console FPS series.

Now Playing: Halo: The Master Chief Collection (and more) Part 3

Now for the last few random Halo games not included in the Master Chef Collection (I don’t care. I’m just going to keep calling him Master Chef.) Starting with…

Pint N’ Play #006 – Aborted Halloween Special!

This is the semi-failed video from the day before Halloween. I had a perfect night of games all lined up, starting with House of the Dead 1-3. House of the Dead 1 was a pain in the ass to get started. I could only get it to run in a virtual XP box, and even then it wasn’t at its best. House of the Dead 3 somehow didn’t record right and I had to redo it all, because after doing 1 and 2 I didn’t want to just leave 3 out. Next was supposed to be Breakfast At Cemetery, which I’ve played and recorded before, but it didn’t end up recording. The recording didn’t work this time either, for an entirely different reason, and I will probably never play that again (fun game though). Next was going to be Silent Hill: The Arcade Game, which I found out had been ported to PC…except it doesn’t actually work properly for everyone, apparently. Couldn’t get past the first 20 minutes or so without running into an impassable glitch. I’ll try to get it running properly someday, but I sure didn’t feel like spending hours doing that at the time so I just gave up on games for the night at that point. Here is House of the Dead 1-3 though. Don’t want to let that part go to waste.

Now Playing: Halo: The Master Chief Collection (and more) Part 2

Next on the Halo world tour is, of course, Halo 3. Halo 3 is pretty similar in its shootiness to Halo 2, but with way better graphics, in theory. It’s funny, because what was originally an upgrade from old original Xbox graphics to the first title on the Xbox 360, now looks worse than the previous game thanks to the Anniversary upgrades of 1 and 2. The shootiness is definitely still intact though.
